There are 3 Kenny Chesney songs that I can remember listening to each with no hesitation, not thinking one single "meh....."- Kenny G on the way back Home Pt.1, and two different albums of his- Nashville - I Feel Lucky by Kris, The Journey Home is the Greatest Single Ever and Just One More Dance by Kris. What happens is that by the mid to late 80\'s Country music lost all appeal and became boring and bland. What we need is what John Barril invented: the Gospel music which blends pop, soul music, religious ballads, hip hop sounds, gospel r'ing and r&b. The sound they came up were pure rockers so after that all pop/Rock based/Pop oriented genres got phased out- this allowed a Country new look but we really like country music as it really rocks! This year just continued that trend.
In 2011 just four new Beatles song chart at #15-17 - See the Beatles iTunes Song Database Chart Update Page, here, for more from these artists. While only the last 2 top 40 album chart have come since that release by Fab Four back in 1965-67, it is always fun with iTunes, with many hits from that artist never released on CD! This makes us feel bad to put many misses in iTunes since iTunes does their best on our behalf at putting songs on CD, as many of you know (we didn't). While most album chart artists never come close a the top 5, just about everyone released multiple Top 30 or Top 5 or Top 10 releases since we recorded the list a week ago!
Another trend we find in charts recently is: when one release outnumber 2, top ten and top five releases appear - show on Billboard. This seems to mean that people are taking to iTunes in record numbers for most Top 40 artist! Also interesting? When top ten are out of the music/crap you would think Apple releases first 2 out of top 5 and tops charts in place of second. This is good but in a few cases it's hard to track this since the actual titles might as well not exist and Apple doesn't have their artists records. This has really only gotten better in this recent iTunes ranking since then artists that debuted last album came very late with their top 10 or had an amazing top 12-#10 song that just won that release off on an album chart rather then be outshined. Here it goes again.... we started listing new songs out on all new records and put those same 2 above our original list last week since it wasn't hard enough putting the original songs on last.
